On Friday 15 January, three classes of local Carl-Sonnenschein-Realschule experienced a somewhat different chemistry class. Annika Terhalle (CTG), Chris Breuer (UD) and Björn Meyer (UD) visited the school and introduced Urenco based on the Richie Film. In every class, a number of pupils knew people working for Urenco. After the Richie film, a quiz was held in which two groups from class competed against each other. After the quiz, in which the answers were often loudly shouted even before the possible answers showed up, the kids could start experimenting with different separation methods. Magnetism, Electricity and Centrifugal forces were three of the most popular ones. The most popular stage however was stage 6. Here, the pupils could all see the 3D film via the Virtual Reality Headsets.
Since the introduction of the Headsets to a wider audience in the British Science Museum in December 2015, this was the first time the Virtual Reality Headsets were used in Germany.
