UUSA Employees Exceed United Way Giving Goal

As a proud supporter of the United Way and the largest financial donor to the United Way of Lea County for over 15 consecutive years, UUSA is proud to announce that we’ve once again exceeded our fundraising goals during our annual United Way campaign.

Each year, we encourage our employees to donate their “Fair Share” (the equivalent of an hour of pay each pay period) to the United Way. The donations our employees give through this annual campaign enables the non-profit organizations in our neighborhoods to keep their doors open and their services available to all those in need.

In addition, charitable giving is streamlined when employees participate in our campaign: the amount each employee specifies is deducted from their paycheck and sent to the United Way on their behalf. UUSA and a local non-profit foundation also match each Fair Share donation dollar-for-dollar, multiplying the contribution exponentially.

“Our employees are always extremely giving, especially during our annual campaign,” shared Lisa Hardison, UUSA’s Manager of Communications and Public Relations. “Every year, we’re overwhelmed by their generosity. This year, over 60% of our employees donors pledged more than twice their Fair Share.”

At the end of our 2023 campaign, UUSA employee contributions (with company match) totaled over $280,000, exceeding our fundraising goal of $125,000.
