Urenco USA discusses ‘Nuclear Now’ at 2025 New Mexico EnergyPlex Conference

Urenco USA's CNO Paul Lorskulsint and NOV's Commercialization Director Nick Morriss participated in the "Nuclear Now" panel discussion at the 2025 New Mexico EnergyPlex Conference. Urenco USA's Community Relations Director Dr. Lisa Hardison moderated the panel. 

The panelists shared how the demand for nuclear energy is rising, and the industry is working diligently to meet the increasing needs.

Lorskulsint discussed UUSA's 15% capacity expansion project and our leading role in fueling various advanced reactor designs, "UUSA is involved in discussions with multiple companies and industries regarding their needs for nuclear fuel and enrichment. We continue to be part of an exciting time in the nuclear industry where bipartisan support is pushing for significant expansion of nuclear power generation." 

Dr. Hardison concluded the panel session by saying, "Urenco USA is proud to support the New Mexico EnergyPlex Conference. We consider it a privilege to have our business in Lea County, which helps provide energy security for the U.S."

The conference, hosted by the Economic Development Corporation of Lea County in Hobbs, NM, is an annual gathering of neighboring energy industry leaders that takes an in-depth look at collaboration efforts and support strategies for the energy providers of Lea County and surrounding communities.
