Urenco USA Awards Two Scholarships to CTECH Students

In partnership with CTECH and New Mexico Junior College (NMJC), UUSA identified two outstanding CTECH seniors, Aryonna Hernandez and Danaly Ortega.

Urenco USA (UUSA) is a proud supporter of local students pursing higher education, especially in the STEM fields. In partnership with CTECH and New Mexico Junior College (NMJC), UUSA identified two outstanding CTECH seniors, Aryonna Hernandez and Danaly Ortega. These two students are currently enrolled in the NMJC’s Energy Technology Program and were both awarded $3500 to pursue completion of the program after graduation. 

UUSA’s Head of Communications and Public Relations, Lisa Hardison, was present at the awards ceremony and stated, “This is a wonderful example of how private business and education can partner together to create a bright future for our community by building a qualified workforce to support the industries in Lea County. We appreciate the opportunity to work with both CTECH and NMJC and look forward to many more student success stories.”

UUSA has been offering scholarships to students in the local community since 2009 and is proud to continue the tradition of investing in education. In addition to these two,  this year UUSA has awarded $15,000 in higher education scholarships to students in both Lea County, New Mexico and Andrews County, Texas.
