Urenco USA offers five, $1,000 Community Scholarships to local students
31 March 2021 UUSAEunice, NM- Urenco USA (UUSA) is a proud supporter of local students pursing higher education and is now accepting applications for (5) five, $1000 UUSA Community Scholarships. This year’s 2021 UUSA Community Scholarship theme is “Everyone Belongs to a Community,” and invites students to share a short essay about how they are making a positive impact in their local area.
UUSA’s President and CEO, Karen Fili, says, “Sustainability is a core value at UUSA, and supporting local students through educational scholarships is one of many ways we invest in our community and help ensure a sustainable future. Education is important and we are proud to offer this funding to help families in our community.”
Eligible applicants must live in Lea County, New Mexico or Andrews County, Texas and should be enrolled, or planning to enroll no later than Fall of 2021, in an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school. In addition, applicants must be seventeen years of age or older when application is submitted. Applications will be accepted through the end of April after which a panel of qualified judges will select and announce the five UUSA Community Scholarship winners on or around May 31.
