Urenco publishes 2022 Gender Pay Gap Report

20 March 2023 Global Urenco UK Careers

Urenco’s UK gender pay gap report was published today covering all UK-based employees.

Urenco’s UK gender pay gap report was published today covering all UK-based employees. Produced on an annual basis under a UK Government requirement*, it measures the difference between the average (mean and median) gross hourly earnings for men and women, regardless of the nature of their work.

Our report shows that the mean hourly pay gap decreased by 0.6% to 13.1% due to women progressing into more senior roles. This has resulted in an overall decrease of 11% over a five year period when reporting requirements began.

The median hourly pay gap has increased slightly in 2022 by 0.3% to 12.6%, however, it continues to be below the national median pay gap of 14.9%. The slight increase is a result of changes in the gender distribution. Namely, since April 2021 there has been a small decrease of 0.6% in the overall proportion of females in the workforce.

Ian Deninson, Chief People and Culture Officer, comments:

“We are making good progress on our I&D journey with a robust strategy and attainable goals in place for 2022 - 2025. The steps we are taking are aimed at cultivating an inclusive and diverse work environment where all employees can be themselves, respected, valued and engaged to reach their full potential.”

The full gender pay gap report is available here.

*Gender pay gap reporting is a legal requirement from the UK Government for all employers in the UK with more than 250 employees. Currently Urenco UK is the only UK entity to meet the government’s criteria however Urenco has chosen to show the same data for all UK-based employees.
