The UUK Procurement Department participated in a volunteering day at the Pettypool outdoor centre.
Pettypool is run by a small team of volunteers who work hard to ensure Cheshire Forest has a fantastic outdoor base. The UUK Procurement team participated in a number of activities including path clearing and building maintenance.
Lynsey Campbell UUK Senior Procurement Manager commented:
“It was truly inspiring how members of the team had such commitment to one another to accomplish, what initially seemed a challenging task, whilst having a lot of fun along the way, the team left the camp feeling a sense of pride through the collective efforts and determination by all as one team’s achievement”
Sheila a representative from Pettypool was delighted with the work that was carried out commenting:
“On behalf of everyone associated with Pettypool I just want to say a big thank you to the Urenco team for all their hard work last week. The beech tree area looks stunning and the pathways are already being well-used. We will be able to keep on top of the new growth now and hope to add habitat areas, insect homes etc in the near future. The buildings look amazing and make a great first impression when arriving at the site”
