Statement from Urenco Deutschland
17 August 2018 Local NewsOn Sunday 12 August, several small unauthorised objects were found at Urenco’s Gronau facility. Urenco immediately launched an internal investigation, advised the nuclear safety authority and informed the police. Urenco is cooperating fully with the police. The police have questioned an employee. We can confirm there was no risk to employees or the safety of the site. As this is an ongoing police investigation we cannot comment further.
