Urenco is supporting an initiative to ensure the nuclear industry is inclusive and welcoming to the LGBTQIA+ community.
The Nuclear Rainbow Forum has recently been launched by Jacobs and the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) and Urenco is one of 17 membership organisations. We had also been one of the founder members working with partners.
The Forum will support community colleagues across the nuclear industry, and aims to share best practice, campaigns and initiatives to improve the workplace environment.
Urenco’s own LGBTQIA+ network is known as Pride@Urenco. Find out more about diversity at Urenco and the network here.
Daniel Roerick, chair of Pride@Urenco, said: “We understand that people are more engaged, efficient and happier when they can bring their authentic selves to work.
“We are proud to be members of this industry-wide Forum and look forward to continuing our engagement with partners to make the industry an even better place to be for members of the LGBTQIA+ community.”
