Urenco response to the RePowerEU plan

Urenco welcomes the publication of the RePowerEU plan and the additional clarity it provides on the role of nuclear in the EU’s future energy mix.

The EU’s commitment to boost the conversion, enrichment and fuel fabrication capacities available in Europe or in EU’s global partners is another significant step in enhancing global energy security and energy independence. 

Nuclear power has a key role alongside renewables in the EU’s clean energy transition through supporting both reliable, low-carbon electricity generation and the future production of hydrogen and Urenco stands ready to support the EU with its clean energy ambitions.
