Urenco is marking the 50th anniversary of its founding treaty being signed by donating a total of €50,000 to a variety of local charities at each of its locations.
Urenco’s core business is enriching uranium to generate sustainable carbon free energy for the world. As part of its strong commitment to the communities where it operates, Urenco will support charities local to each of its enrichment facilities and Head Office with a €10,000 donation for each location.
Boris Schucht, Urenco CEO, said: “Our success over the past 50 years is based on our strong relationships with a wide variety of trusted partners. Our local communities are one of our most valued stakeholders and that is why we wanted to celebrate this milestone by making a contribution to worthwhile initiatives around our sites.”
