Urenco and U-Battery provide evidence to BEIS Select Committee
13 October 2020 GlobalUrenco and U-Battery have provided a response to the UK Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Select Committee inquiry on post-pandemic economic growth.
The submission clearly outlines the positive role nuclear can have in helping to rebuild the economy after COVID-19, while also assisting to combat climate change, and encourages the Government to focus investment on delivering Net Zero by 2050.
Nuclear and renewables have a key part to play within decarbonisation efforts as proven low-carbon technologies, with advanced and small modular reactors providing innovative future opportunities.
