Urenco Nuclear Stewardship is pleased to announce its rebrand from Capenhurst Nuclear Services (CNS), effective from 30 October 2017, reflecting its integral role in Urenco.
CNS, a subsidiary of Urenco Ltd, began operating in 2012, in the management of uranic materials and nuclear stewardship. In 2016, the organisation was selected as the preferred supplier for the storage of reactor pressure vessels from retired Royal Navy submarines, on behalf of the Ministry of Defence. In addition, the company was granted planning permission for the development of a Legacy Cylinder Facility, on behalf of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.
These projects have coincided with the implementation of Urenco's new organisational-wide strategy, a key pillar of which is to broaden the services Urenco provides to the nuclear industry. The current portfolio of work is in-keeping with the new strategic vision of Urenco and therefore it is timely to rebrand CNS to Urenco Nuclear Stewardship as an integral part of the Urenco organisation.
The rebrand is testament to Urenco's commitment to continuing the invaluable service that Urenco Nuclear Stewardship provides to the nuclear industry.
