On 19 October, Urenco and its project partners achieved 2million safe working hours on the construction of its Tails Management Facility (TMF) at Urenco Capenhurst.
To mark this safe working milestone, Urenco and its project partners - Jacobs, Balfour Beatty, Kier, Laker Vent Engineering, Rainham Industrial Services and M&W Hargreaves - are donating £15,000 to three local charities.
The chosen charities are Claire House Children’s Hospice, Zoe’s Place and Medcare.
Commenting on the donation, Pleun E. Schuddebeurs, Managing Director, Urenco ChemPlants said:
“Safety is always Urenco's core priority and we are proud to have achieved this significant milestone of two million safe working hours on our Tails Management Facility project. To recognise this achievement, our employees have chosen to donate to three charities, who continue to make a difference in our local community.”
