Urenco exhibits at the Science Museum’s Teacher Lates

02 December 2016 Global

On 30 November 2016, Urenco in collaboration with the British Science Association, exhibited at the Science Museum Teacher Lates event to promote its CREST Discovery Day resource, designed for students aged 11-14.

Launched in September 2016, the resource entitled ‘Enrich my Classroom’ encourages students to learn about a range of different science, technology, engineering and maths topics through project work. Each member of the team is given a distinct role, such as ‘Researcher’ or ‘Communications Manager’, which simulates a real-life working environment.

The Teacher Lates, held at the Science Museum London throughout the year, are a fantastic platform to engage directly with teachers who are eager to gain resources which are both curriculum based and practical.

The event was held in the new interactive gallery, Wonderlab: The Statoil Gallery, of which Urenco is major sponsor. Teachers were extremely impressed by the new space and no doubt will be back to visit with their school groups. Overall more than 3,500 came to the Lates event, over 300 of which were teachers who were able to take an ‘Enrich my Classroom’ USB resource away with them.
