Urenco is pleased to announce that the Richie website (www.learnwithrichie.com) has been re-developed to include more content, quizzes and interesting facts about nuclear energy for KS3 students.
The aim of the website is to nurture an interest in STEM education for 11-14 year olds, the years preceding GCSE choices. As well as creating an understanding about nuclear energy, Urenco’s Richie website offers advice on how to pursue a STEM career as a graduate or an apprentice.
The updated website includes a portal for teachers, where they can download resource material useful for enhancing their science classes.
Urenco believes that promoting STEM subjects will encourage young people into scientific and engineering leaders of the future, a key element of our CSR outreach.
Our Richie education programme, which includes our dedicated website, downloadable app, CREST Star independent learning resource and annual Richie lecture has been recognised as a leader in its field having received a number of accreditations and awards. The programme has again been shortlisted for a 2015 Public Relations Consultants Association CSR Award.
